Healthy Dining in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport
Airport dining is difficult. As a REALLY frequent traveler, I find it almost impossible to find healthy options in the airports around the country. You can only eat so many salads, but your options are limited beyond that. The Minneapolis/St. Paul airport is focusing on offering travelers more healthy dining options, which is GREAT! Especially for all of those airport patrons who are consistantly stranded by shady Northwest Airlines.
What can you get and where do you get it?

Back From Nicaragua, Part II
7:00 am the following morning we met Nine for the climb. He was actually a terrible guide, I wouldn’t recommend him at all. He told us little about the indigenous plants and animals and nothing about the geology or makeup of the island. We did learn, however, how to drop an f bomb in several Latin American countries. He rambled on the entire trip about random things that had nothing to do with the volcano or the island. It was really annoying. Several times, he went ahead …

Union County Music Fest in Cranford, New Jersey

The Union County Music Fest in Cranford, New Jersey is a FREE music fest being held this September 15, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m at Nomahegan Park. The headliner hasn’t yet been announced (so I’m assuming they’re trying desperately to get someone great) but Chuck Berry will be in the house, which is cool. The festival will also feature The Smithereens, The Alarm, The English Beat, The Old Ceremony, Fountains of Wayne, The Apples in Stereo and even Trout Fishing in America from my home state.
Pre-festival, you can …

AmericInn Hotel Room from Hell Story Contest
AmericInn has a fun new contest, searching high and low for the best “bizarre and humorous tales of noisy, unruly and disturbing hotel neighbors. Entrants are encouraged to either write or video their stories, using re-enactment, expressive narration, antics and sound effects. Sounds like something that should be on Skinemax Cinemax late at night. I’m a girl who needs a good night sleep, so anything I came up with would be more of a horror story.
The contest is entitled “Your Noisy Neighbor” and the payout is a $5000 “Quite Getaway” grand prize vacation. I Like quiet. …

City Running Tours in Chicago, New York and Washington D.C.
City Running Tours is a fun and healthy way to see the cities you visit, while burning off the extra calories from all of that airport cuisine you’ve been stuffing down your throat. These are (obviously) tours in which you run around the city, being led by a guide who provides information on the sites you pass and historical facts. The cities currently available include Chicago, New York and Washington D.C.
Chicago: There are three Chicago tours available. The first is based on the Great Chicago Fire of …

Back From Nicaragua
Like I mentioned before, business travelers need time to recuperate from all of the stress of frequent travel. If you stay at home, you’ll surely be sucked in to some project you’ve been putting off or lay in a vegetative state on the couch. So I really suggest a trip away for fun, as often as possible. And with all of those frequent flyer miles and hotel points, the opportunities are endless.
Last month, I made my way to Tulum, Mexico to lay on the beach and drink Modelo …

Fly Girl Travel Bags - TSA Compliant Toiletries Gear
FLy Girl has created a petit travel bag, along with tiny containers for ladies on the go who have to deal with the whole TSA compliance 3.4 oz. liquid laws. I travel A LOT, and believe me you really can get by. And they’re reusable bottles, so they’re much more environmentally friendly than buying “travel size” bottles of your favorite products each time you head to the airport.
The travel bag travel bag is 8″ x 6″ and made of sturdy vinyl. It includes Two 2 …
