JetBlue, the discount air carrier, has teamed up with internet auction giant ebay to offer you the chance to bid on flights and vacation packages. For a limited time, you can bid on travel packages departing from New York, Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Southern California (LGB, BUR), Salt Lake City and Northern California (SJC, OAK).

Vacation packages include things like a trip for two to Nassau, Bahamas including airfare and 5 days/4 nights accommodation and packages for two to a “mystery destination.” JetBlue doesn’t fly that many places, so the mystery can’t be that great. Flight auctions include flights for one or two passengers between certain destinations. It’s like having a sale, without committing to actually have a sale. Very crafty.

You will be responsible for all applicable taxes and fees, just like any ole passenger.
