US Airways Reinstated Dividend Miles
US Airways, like every other air carrier in the Untied States, was forced to cut back on mileage benefits for customers while dealing with record fuel prices. And now that the whole fuel crisis seems to have passed, like every other customer in the United States, US Airways is reinstating the benefits you know and love. Specifically, US Airways is reinstating bonus miles and 500 minimum mile accrual benefits for customers with “Preferred” membership in the frequent flyer program. The deal begins on November 20th, but is retroactive for all flights taken after August 6th.
How do you earn “Preferred” status?
Dividend Miles members earn and retain Preferred status when they purchase and fly at least 25,000 miles or 30 segments within one calendar year. Mileage and segments flown on US Airways Shuttle apply to reaching Preferred status.
Bonus Miles
- Silver: 25,000 annual flight miles, OR 30 flight annual flight segments; earn a 25% mileage bonus
- Gold: 50,000 annual flight miles, OR 60 annual flight segments; earn a 50% mileage bonus
- Platinum: 75,000 annual flight miles, OR 90 annual flight segments; earn a 75% mileage bonus
- Chairman’s Preferred: 100,000 annual flight miles, OR 120 annual flight segments; earn a 100% mileage bonus
Senior Vice President, Marketing and Planning Andrew Nocella said, “Our Dividend Miles Program members are extremely important to us, and these changes reflect our continued commitment to delivering the best product with the most value to our customers.”
