Parking - Earth DayDetroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport will soon be installing new equipment and technology at its airport parking facilities. The new system, called 1-2-3 Park - Credit Card In / Credit Card Out, will allow you to use your credit or debit card to enter and exit DTW’s onsite parking facilities, without the need to pull a ticket. That’s handy - those things can be hard to keep up with. According to the press release, it works like an airline e-ticket machine. Here’s what you do:

  1. ENTER - by inserting your credit/debit card into the lot’s new automated 1-2-3 Park entry device.
  2. PARK - there is no ticket needed … your entry information, including date, time and lot is securely stored in the system.
  3. EXIT - When you return, insert the same credit/debit card into a 1-2-3 Park exit device. The system calculates the correct charges, bills your card, prints a receipt, and you’re on your way.

No mess. I love it.
