Avis and Budget Offer GPS Navigation Systems in Canada

Avis and Budget car rental agencies are now offering GPS navigation system rental to customers in Canada. Thank goodness. I’m basically lost without a navigation system.

The companies will use the Garmin made Where2 systems, which provide turn by turn directions, as well as real-time traffic updates with alternate route information, voice guidance in English, French and a variety of other languages and bluetooth calling capabilities.

Avis airport rental locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, St. Johns, and Halifax. Budget will feature Where2 units at airport rental locations in Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax.

Rental is $9.95 a day, just like in the US.
