Little Rock AirportThe Clear Registered Traveler program is expanding to the Little Rock National Airport. Enrollment is expected to begin within 30 days, once a contract has been executed. All airlines operating from the airport and their customers, will be able to take advantage of the Clear program.

Clear allows business travelers and other frequent fliers to pay a fee of $99.95 to be pre-screened by the TSA to receive a biometric identity card that provides them with expedited passage through airport security checkpoints. Applicants start
their membership online and complete the process in person at an enrollment station where their biometrics (fingerprints and iris images) are captured.

As a Little Rock native, I can see this being a big help. Little Rock National Airport often has big security lines for such a small place, with lines stretching down the escalator to the ticketing area. This will let the business travelers breeze through without waiting for every Tom, Dick and Harry to sort out their liquids as they leave for vacation.
