Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airpor Wi-Fi
The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport has re-launched its high-speed Wi-Fi network with a completely new service provided by Concourse Communications Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Boingo Wireless. Those are the same people who are offering all you iPhone owners free Wi-Fi this month.
Travelers can log in using an existing Wi-Fi account or purchase access from Boingo Wireless, “the world’s leading hotspot network aggregator,” for $7.95 a day. That is a total rip-off, much like ALL airport internet access, as you’re only going to use it for an hour or two on a layover. As a third option, Boing offers a monthly account plan for $21.95 with unlimited access to hot spots in North and South America. “Premium hot spots” are accessible in Europe and Asia for an additional fee. Boingo’s hot
spot network includes more than 100,000 locations around the world, with more than 400 airports. If you’re a true road warrior, that definitely sounds like a bargain.
