Northwest Airlines Gets Customer Service Training

Customer Service

Hallelujah! I used to fly on Northwest quite a bit, and their staff needs customer service training more than any business I’ve ever seen. The people at the cable company are a ray of sunshine next to the Northwest flight attendants. Needless to say, I’ve lost my status with the airline - I moved on to other transportation options who don’t treat me like gum on the bottom of a shoe.

Anyway, the ladies at the Window Seat clued me in to the fact that Northwest Airlines will have its employees, including flight attendants and reservation agents, endure extensive customer service training. I’m afraid the bulk of it will go in one ear and out the other, as long as the disgruntled employees are making chump change as wages.

Maybe one day I’ll suffer through another flight to see if any of the tactics stuck, but I kind of doubt it since they won’t honor the miles I earned in the past.
