PlanetTran - Environmentally Conscious Car Service

Tree HeartPlanetTran is the first available environmentally friendly airport transportation in the universe. Okay, maybe it’s only the first hippie car service in the US, but that’s still HUGE! You can roll like the Boots (or is it the nAll?) in your very own Toyota Prius.

I’m amazed. It’s a big fat Business Travel Logue lovefest. Yeah PlanetTran!

They’re currently available in Boston, MA; Providence, RI; Manchester, NH; San Francisco, CA; San Jose, CA; and Oakland, CA. Not in the hippie mecca of Portland? For real?

Anyway, fares are comparable to taxis and such. And as a business traveler, you’re probably not paying anyway so who cares about that part? I know this service is more responsible than hiring a gas guzzling taxi, but I really doubt it is more efficient than public transportation, so keep that in mind when making your decision.

You can reserve online at http://planetran.com/ and hug a tree on your way out of the airport.

Props to Mary Jo at the Fly Away Cafe as the source.
