CallWave Free SMS Text Messages from Your PC

CallWave is one of many companies offering Free SMS text messages directly from you PC. Handy for those of you who get crappy reception in your office or have to deal with some phone nazi-ish regulations (I’ve actually been in factory officers where you couldn’t have your phone turned on - ever). Better yet, CallWave lets you send the messages directly from your Google or Yahoo homepage.

Once you sign up, CallWave sends a verification code to your phone (similar to signing up for a gmail account). Enter the code in to the CallWave plug in and text away. You don’t get charged a dime, but the recipient is charged the normal SMS rate (which is about a dime) if he or she doesn’t have a text plan.
