Getting Around Without Your Rental: Major Transient Authorities in the U.S.
As business travelers, we normally have perfectly decent transportation options. Rental cars or taxi’s are the standard options in most locations. But I, for one, am not a big fan of driving myself in larger metro areas for my after work activities. For several reasons, including I may have a few drinks and I DO NOT need a DUI (who does?), I don’t necessarily want to walk 8 blocks in an unfamiliar area alone late at night, and I can’t expense pricey parking fees or cab rides for recreational stuff (unless clients are involved). I like to take trains, but I’m not such a big fan of busses so this advice applies more for cities in the eastern U.S. than the south or the west.
So, I’ve compiled a list of links to transient authority websites for major business destinations in the United States.
