Starwood’s Redesigned SPG.com for Starwood Preferred Guests

Starwood Hotels & Resorts recently re-designed SPG.com, the website for members of the hotel’s loyalty program. The site has a new look, new tools, features and downloads “unprecedented in the hospitality industry that provide members with personalized access and a rich, customized on-line experience.”

The new site features a person portal that allows members to access their SPC account, customize the information displayed and search for properties based on their particular interests and favorite destinations. Travelocity is looking to redefine user generated reviews, by offering a new tool that helps users find information from “like-minded” travelers. This tool gives the user the ability to sort through a really big number of reviews to find relevant information. The searchable categories include: families, couples, kid-friendly, teen friendly, mature travelers, solo women, group of friends, persons with disabilities, traveling with pets, other vacationers and BUSINESS TRAVELERS. Priceline Group Hotel Sales

Priceline will now enable customers to book blocks of up to 1,000 rooms at discounted rates. Both the Name Your Own Price and Published-Price hotel bookings can now be made for nine rooms, an increase of five.

The group booking service may be found at findgroupdeals.com. If you’re planning a business trip for a group of people, the new engine may be worth looking in to. To use the service, enter the number of rooms you want (between 10 and 1,000), the dates needed and the destination. Participating hotels then respond with competing rate quotes.
