Lightwedge Original Book Light

The Lightwedge Original book light is a handy tool for frequent travelers who love to read (like me). Sometimes the lighting in planes and trains isn’t stellar, and you need a little something to light your way. The nice people at Great Point Lighting, the maker of the product, recently sent me a unit to test (in pink!) and I really enjoyed it. The Lightwedge Original is a little different than any other book light I’ve used. It is a clear acrylic lens you lay over the page, which spreads light …

Fly Girl Travel Bags - TSA Compliant Toiletries Gear
FLy Girl has created a petit travel bag, along with tiny containers for ladies on the go who have to deal with the whole TSA compliance 3.4 oz. liquid laws. I travel A LOT, and believe me you really can get by. And they’re reusable bottles, so they’re much more environmentally friendly than buying “travel size” bottles of your favorite products each time you head to the airport.
The travel bag travel bag is 8″ x 6″ and made of sturdy vinyl. It includes Two 2 …

Zenga Sport Gym Kit
Ermenegildo Zegna, yes the same people who brought you the solar powered jacket, have a great new work-out product for men with the Zenga Sport Gym Kit.
The Zenga Gym Kit consists of the small pouch pictured. The pouch converts in to a lined, zip-up, waterproof jacket. I like transformer-ish clothing and bags. Inside the pouch, you’ll find lined, waterproof track pants, microfiber workout shorts and a stretch cotton tee. And it even matches for all you metro boys out there.
Is is funny to me that it’s …

3-1-1 Travel Bag’s Airless Pumps
3-1-1 Travel Bag has introduced a new line of airless pumps for transporting and dispensing toiletries in the age of the liquid ban. These dispensers are clear plastic with an aluminum top and base and come in a variety of sizes within the TSA regulated sizes.
Filling the tube with liquid or gel products activates the pumps inner mechanism that allows the “airless” action to neatly dispense shampoo, lotions and other liquid or gel items following the rigors of air travel — including pressurized cabin pressures and airport luggage handling …

Zenga Solar Powered Jacket
The new Zenga Solar Powered Jacket was designed by Ermenegildo Zegna Spa to power your jackets on the go. Seriously. The coat has small solar panels around the collar, allowing it to charge anything from your iPod to your cellphone. They’ll be in stores in November, so you can hope for one for Christmas.
The company is marketing the jacket as a “green” piece of clothing. Of course.
The solar panels can be used independently and the company claims 5 hours of sunshine can charge “just about …

Mobivox - Skype Calls Without Your PC
Mobivox is a new service that promises great things. Things such as the ability to contact anyone in your Skype contact list without the use of a PC and with no download required. So you can contact your people from anyplace without struggling to find the nearest hotspot or paying an outrageous service fee to get online for 10 minutes (like I had to do at the Marriott the other night). Mobivox is a mobile Application Service Provider that bridges the gap between mobile phones, VoIP and Voice over Instant Messaging (VoIM) to connect the mobile, PC, …

Balanzza Portable Luggage Scale
Balanzza is a new product that allows you to weight your luggage with ease. When I heard of this product, I was thinking some sort of bathroom scale contraption, but it really looks more like a fish scale. Yes, I know all about fish scales. The Balanzza scale allows travelers to weigh luggage at home and avoid over-weight charges at the airport. Any business traveler should be able to keep it below 50 pounds, but I’m sure there are a few of you out there that struggle …

WorldMate Real Time Flight Information
WorldMate has expanded its real time flight information to include more than 350 airlines, allowing business travelers to track pretty much any flight in the world from their mobile phones. Whew. I don’t know what the business world would have done if WorldMate hadn’t added Air Inuit to the list of supported airlines.
The real-time flight status offering crosschecks information from multiple travel data sources, including the FAA, Global Distribution Systems and major airports to provide users with the most accurate flight times, gates, airline and terminal information available.
