YOtel Hotel in London’s Heathrow and Gatwick Airports
YOtel, a brand spanking new hotel, is opening this spring and you’ll never guess where…INSIDE Terminal 4 of London’s Heathrow Airport and INSIDE of the South Terminal of Gatwick Airport. Rooms “cabins” can be booked by the 4 hour block, beginning at £25 or by the night at a starting rate of £40 per night. I know rooms by the hour in any quantity sounds suspicious to those of us in the United States, but this place looks FANTASTIC. I did get a chuckle that the premium room even includes “mood lighting” and an “internal window.” I’m not sure what the latter means, but I think some of my college buddies are lacking one.
A room in the terminal. I’m all about catching some extra Z’s before an early flight. I’m just curious how they’ll handle cleaning the rooms after short duration rentals. Most hotels only have a very limited housekeeping staff after the regular morning checkout time.
For all the skinny, check the official website.
