Houston EZ Tag

Here’s one more reason to buy an EZ tag in Houston – it will pay for airport parking. That’s right, you can use the same EZ tag you use for tolls to pay for airport parking at either Bush Intercontinental or Houston Hobby airport.

You have to sign up for the service to use this feature. To sign up, call EZ TAG customer service at (281) 875-EASY to opt-in to this feature if you have a credit card-backed EZ Account. Yes, a credit card backed account is required. Then, allow up to 24 hours for this feature to take effect and be active on your EZ Account – don’t call on your way to the airport.

How does it work? Just pull up to the entrance at any Houston Airport System terminal garage or Parking Cents lot and your EZ TAG will raise the entrance gate. You will not need a parking garage ticket. When you’re ready to leave, you’ll exit through dedicated EZ TAG lanes at the garage where your EZ TAG will raise the exit gate. (License plate-mounted bar tags may not read at airport locations) The parking fee will be calculated by the EZ Tag readers and charged to your credit card. The amount will not be deducted from your EZ Tag balance.

You can view your parking transactions on your printed or online monthly statement at www.hctra.org. To get a receipt emailed to you for each transaction, log on to your EZ Tag account and opt in under Communication Preferences under the Account Information tab. That will make expense report filing a breeze.
