Juicy Jim’s - The Best Cheese Steak South of the Mason Dixon Line at 4:00 a.m.

This is THE spot for a Philly Cheese Steak at 4:00 a.m. in Memphis, Tennessee. It is by far the greatest Cheese Steak south of the Mason-Dixon at that hour. It would be hard to persuade me (but please do try) that it isn’t the greatest Cheese Steak outside of Philadelphia at any hour.

Jim’s is conveniently located within walking distance of Newby’s, a local hangout in midtown Memphis, and the University of Memphis.

Some may argue that the only reason I thought Jim’s Cheese Steak was so fantastic is that it was about 4:00 a.m. when I ate it. Kind of like how no sane person would ever eat Waffle House until the wee hours of the morning, post bar hopping. I think I have fantastic culinary instincts at any hour.

Jim does get good local reviews, though.
