When I mentioned mediocre in my comment above, I was referring to most meals you receive from restaurants. But King Biscuit would, in my opinion as well as many other's I have heard, be anything close to mediocre. Let's try for decadent!

After reading the comment left from the gentleman above, I could not leave this page without leaving my own. I would hate for anyone to read a comment like this and it prevent them from having one of the best meals I have had in Memphis. The King Biscuit Diner has more to offer than a mediocre meal, it has unique decor, an extensive list of wines, and a large variety of foods. Most restraunts seem to cater to one taste or style, but you can get everything from a steak to chicken to lasagna and fresh fish! I was so impressed by the food and service that I have visited the restaurant 5 times now! In one of my visits, the owner actually came to our table and asked how our meal was and if there was anything else that we would need. This, along with the rest of the staff, is the main reason I continue to spend my money there. If you do decide to branch out of your norm and try a new place, I would definitely recommend King Biscuit Diner!! And as for the "demeanor" as mentioned above, I have never witnessed any of the sort. It seems like a very foolish comment, coming from a very foolish person...and just for the record, who goes to dinner at 10pm anyway?

King Biscuit restaruant is terrible. I went to King Biscuit restaruant and the owner assured me that it was not a club but rather a legitimate 3 or 4 star restaurant. Later that night I took my wife there for dinner and there was a $10.00 cover, a DJ was blaring music, and everyone in the place was completely drunk. I asked for our $10.00 cover charge because we could not possibly have dinner at this establishment and the bouncer at the front door almost punched me and another employee at the "restaurant" chased me with a beer bottle into the parking lot. Finally, the owner came out apologized but this cannot be excused. I really got the impression there was alot of drug use going on based on everyone's demeanor.
