Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards

Much like everything else they do, Southwest’s miles program is set up a little differently than the big guys. I’ve not been a frequent flyer on Southwest, but they definitely do have their advantages. Miles are based on segments, rather than mileage flown. You need 8 roundtrip flights or 16 credits within 24 months to earn a free flight. Of-course flights are limited to the Southwest network, so you won’t be going to Bali on this one.

Hotel Partners: Choice Hotels, Hilton, Hyatt, InterContinental, La Quinta and Mariott

American Express Membership Rewards and Diners Club Rewards can be converted into Southwest points.

If you fly with them, you will be boarded like cattle but the flights are cheap.
