Budget Travel Magazine Cover Photo Contest
Budget Travel magazine is looking for a cover shot to celebrate its 10th anniversary. I know you business travelers have loads of time to snap shots while on the road, and this is just another opportunity to show off your skills. The magazine is looking for a photo taken by an ammature taken after 1998. Shouldn’t be too hard. Only five entries per person may be submitted, and the deadline is December 1, 2007.
I have no idea where my pre-98 photos would be. The winner will appear on the cover of the June 2008 issue.
Photos submitted will not be returned, so do NOT send originals and expect them back.
By submitting a photo, you grant Budget Travel the right to use any submitted images online and in Budget Travel, as well as to promote Budget Travel in general. A lot of people don’t like that kind of language, but it seems to be pretty standard with photography contests.
Specs: Digital images must have a resolution of 300dpi at 9×12 inches or bigger, and must be submitted on CD. E-mail entries are not permitted. Film must be submitted in print form—no negatives or transparencies. Prints must be printed on photo paper. An 11×17 print is preferred, or you can send smaller ones as long as you still have the original negative or transparency.
You must answer the following questions with your submission: Please answer the following questions for each image:
1. When was it taken?
2. Where was it taken?
3. What brand and model camera did you use? (If you don’t remember, don’t sweat it.)
4. Any story behind the shot? Did anything interesting happen?
5. What’s your name, phone number, and email? (We won’t give it away!)
Send your photo, and your answers to the questions, to:
