The Houston Museum of Natural Science puts on a fun program each Friday night this summer with Mixers & Elixirs. Mixers & Elixirs takes place each Friday evening, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. It is $13 for museum members and $15 for non-members with a cash bar. (If you spend time in Arkansas as well, members of the Arkansas Art Center get a much better deal. Free admission to openings with complementary hors d’oeuvres and booze). Anyway…
Start the evening out right in the Grand Entry Hall at 6 p.m. with a live DJ or an IMAX® show. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the live band, dancing under the dinosaurs, cash bar, and complimentary appetizers.
Dancing under the dinosaurs is by far the most appealing thing about that statement. I mean, I’m a terrible dancer myself (think Elaine on Seinfeld), but it sounds like a good time waiting to happen. What a fun way to entertain your Houston clients when you’re in town!
The event has it’s own MySpace page, so you could be famous if your picture is posted. AND you can win prizes like these:
Sounds good.
The parties only take place in the summer, so act fast if you want to attend (and win) in 2007.
