Tripmates, which I wrote about way back in October, is relaunching as Tripup. That sounds more appropriate for most blind dates.
The service allows travelers to create a customized profile, get advice from fellow travelers and even meet people on the road. It doesn’t have to be about a one night stand on your business trip, some people are happy to meet friends and play tour guide.
I don’t see any reason for the name change, but you can now access the site at www.TripUp.com.
