“Thousands of customers participated in this program during April and May, and we anticipate many more will continue to do so through next month,” said Rob Hibbard, Vice President for Alamo Rent A Car. “Many are driving from Florida back to their homes in the North, while others are simply taking advantage of our promotion to kick-start the summer travel season economically. Either way, our ‘Drive-Out’ program is mutually beneficial by getting customers to their destinations while simultaneously helping us reallocate our fleet.”
The “Drive-Out” program requires a 24 hour advance reservation and allows a maximum 21 day rental. To reserve this offer, Alamo Rent A Car customers can book online at alamo.com or call 800-GO-ALAMO.
In too big of a hurry to fuel up before you drop the car off? Or just too much of a princess to pump your own gas? Alamo has got a deal for you. At any Alamo corporate-owned location and participating franchises, the price per gallon for refueling is based on the local-market price of self-serve gasoline, plus a mark-up not to exceed 50% of the fuel cost. According to the press release, this means Alamo customers pay only about $3 per gallon when returning a rental car (depending on market pricing), which is approximately 65% less than what some other major car rental brands charge. Not so bad.
