American Express Miles & More Card
MBNA Bank is now offering a new Miles & More American Express credit card. Miles & More is the mother of all frequent flyer programs, in Europe anyway. The new Miles & More American Express offers a “competitive interest rate,” as well as the ability to rack up the Miles & More award miles. Miles can be redeemed for a free flight, upgrades and travel awards, in addition to a selection of other goods and services. Interesting that American Express is working with a European frequent flyer program, seeing as so many places across the pond don’t actually accept American Express.
With this card, card holders will earn three miles for every British Pound spent on the card for the first six months. Thereafter, you’ll earn at a rate of two award miles per Pound. So, these days you basically earn one mile per US dollar spent, which is a pretty standard deal for those of us in the United States. As a new card members, you’ll receive a welcome bonus of 6,000 miles when you make your first card purchase within 90 days of opening your account. With this card, your Miles & More award never expire.
The Miles & More American Express card offers 0% p.a. on balance transfers for the first 12 months, though a 3% handling fee applies, and 0% on card purchases for the first three months. After the introductory period, you’ll pay a variable rate of about 15.9% APR.

Miles & More Program
The Miles & More program is Europe’s largest frequent flyer program. Members earn miles when flying with Lufthansa, Swiss, any Star Alliance member airline or other airline partners. In addition, miles can be earned through hotel stays, car rental bookings or through various other partners.
