AwayFind Notifies You of Urgent Email Messages via SMS

AwayFind is a spanking new application that is a great tool for business travelers, especially those of you who don’t check your email every 5 to 10 minutes (like I do) while on the road. This little jewel sets up a custom form linked to your “Out of Office” reply, allowing people to contact you with an urgent message via SMS text message.

How does it work?

You set up your contact page through AwayFind and add a link to the page in your “Out of Office” auto reply. If someone really needs to talk to you (and they don’t have your phone number), they can click the link to fill out the contact form. AwayFind will then send the message to you via text message. And you don’t have to worry about spammers, as there is a spam checker.

What does it cost?

You can sign up for a basic account with AwayFind for free. The pro version is available for a fee, but they’ll let you give it a whirl before you buy.
