Frommers’ American Airlines Inflight Travel Guides

Frommer’s, the travel guide company, is working with American Airlines to offer FREE travel guide content to passengers via GoGo, the airline’s inflight internet service we told you about.

So what “content” are we talking? Information on various destinations throughout the U.S., including “Best Hotel Bets” in larger cities, real time event listing (covering concerts, festivals, exhibits and sports events). You calso get weather forecasts and airport guides for the four “hub” cities currently being served, including L.A., San Francisco, NYC and Miami.

“We are incredibly excited we can now provide real time Frommer’s expert advice to travelers when they are actually en route to their destination,” said Craig Schickler, Director of E-Business Development at Wiley. “This will enhance the travel experience of passengers both in flight and once arrived in their destination.”

Pretty cool if you’re just on a quick trip and don’t want to fork over the dough for a whole guide book (and lack access to the outstanding content of BootsnAll, my parent company.
