Homewood Suites Online Room Selection

You know how every single time you check in to your hotel you get the room next to the ice machine? Oh wait, that’s me. Well, these days Homewood Suites is offering HHonors members a nice deal to avoid such travesties. Homewood Suites, the “residential style hotel” by Hilton, is now offering an innovative online Suite Selection tool for room reservations. Suite Selection, a fancy way to say you get to pick your room in advance, is now available to all Hilton HHonors members. Magical, right?

How do you do it? You can choose your digs by visiting HomewoodSuites.com. From the website, you’ll be able to check out the hotel floor plan and images of the available suites. It’s a little like a James Bond movie, if you think about it. This tool will let you choose the room you want and check in online up to 36 hours before you get to your hotel. If I were better at planning things in advance, I would be in love with this too.

Suite Selection isn’t really new, per se. It was actually launched way back in 2007, but only for the high rollers in the HHonors Diamond and Gold programs. The elites loved the idea, so Hilton is expanding it to work for more customers.

“Suite Selection is doing for the Homewood brand what seat selection did for the airlines more than a decade ago,” said Rebecca Wyatt, Senior Vice President, Brand Management. “As the majority of our guests are with us for five or more nights, empowering these individuals to make their own choices and to create a sense of home becomes even more important.”

Does that mean once you’ve chosen your suite some lady with 4 kids is going to come up to you and ask you to move to another room so they can all be next to each other? Maybe that’s just on the plane…
