Lonely Planet Encounter Guides

Lonely Planet is introducing new Encounter city guides for travelers who only have time for a short stay in the city. Encounter Guides are pocket guides with 2 to 5 day itineraries, which is perfect for business travelers. The Encounter guides are compact at 6″ x 4”, so you shouldn’t have any trouble carrying them around. The series launched with Barcelona, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Las Vegas, London, New York, Paris, and San Francisco.

Lonely Planet Encounter has fantastic new features:

expert recommendations of the best neighborhoods, sights, restaurants, shops and activities
unique itineraries and highlights help you make the most of a short trip

The books are about $12 each.
