MapQuest recently announced several upgrades to its “Send to Cell” service allowing you to create detailed driving directions and maps on your computers and send them to any web-enabled cell phone for free.
With this service, you can search for places and create maps and directions on your computer, and send the information to your cell phone by clicking on any one of the the “Send to Cell” links found throughout the MapQuest website. While on the road, access the information on their phone via text link, and you will be directed to your turn by turn directions and detailed maps, all “right-sized” for their phones’ web browser.

MapQuest is also making it easier for users, whether they are on a computer or cell phone. Now, go to www.mapquest.com, regardless of the device you are using. The site automatically detects which type of device you are using and formats the page to suit your needs.
