Mexico Joins APEC

Mexico has decided to join 18 other Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies, including the United States, in providing APEC Business Travel Cardholders with faster immigration processing lanes. APEC cardholders will now be given access to special immigration lanes to speed up processing at all major international airports including Mexico City, Cancun and Acapulco. Uh-huh, because there is TONS of business going on in Cancun and Acauplco. Current members are Australia, Brunei, Chile, the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Vietnam. The United States allows cardholders access to fast-track immigration lanes upon entry.

Cardholders will need to present valid passports and visas if required by Mexican law, which includes…everyone now.
