If you have very good credit, fly with US-based airlines often and plan to use the reward program, then Miles by Discover® Card is an airline mileage card you should consider using.
When using your card for up to $3,000 travel or restaurant purchases, you’ll earn double miles for each dollar spent. During November and December you also earn double miles on the grocery store purchases. All other purchases bring 1 mile per dollar spent. You also get 1,000 bonus miles every month you use the card during the first year.
Miles never expire as long as the account is active. However, no more than 60,000 miles can be earned per year. The miles can be redeemed for airfare (or reduced airfare) on most US-based airlines, without any date restrictions. Also you can use the miles to get gift cards from 50 partner brand-names and even to get cash.
The card has no annual fee and it also offers 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for six months. After that period, the APR for purchases is 9.99%. The grace period is 25 days.
If you plan to use the card in the designated locations and fly a lot on US-based airlines, then you should consider applying.
