Mother’s Day Essay Contest

Bling The food and shops of LaGuardia Airport in New York City are holding a contest this May in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day. Yes, Mother’s Day will be on May 11, 2008 this year and you can score your Mom some serious bling with this contest.

The “Travels with Mom” essay contest will be open from April 7 to May 5 for submission. To enter the contest, you can log on to shoplaguardia.com and enter a 150 word essay about your favorite travel memory with your Mom. The “Mom” in your story doesn’t have to be your Mom, it can be your mother, grandmother, aunt, sister or any other person who has been the Mom in your life. Very P.C.

What do you get for all your efforts? One winner will be chosen per week to receive an Art Deco crystal watch valued at $150 from The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store. Sweet!
