Should your business travels take you to Philly in the next few weeks, you’re in for some fun. It’s time to get in to the Halloween spirit, and The Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour in Philadelphia is one great way to do it. This ghoulish tour is “one part history, two parts haunt,” and sounds like two parts fun. Between now and Halloween night, you can take the Spirits of ‘76 any night of the week.
Guests are treated to more than 15 scary sites to hear Philadelphia’s haunted facts and folklore. Oooohhhhh! Walk the cobblestone streets of the Old City (and try not to fall down) while listening to ghost stories about the Spirits of ‘76, featuring the following:
“Taking the Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour is a great way to experience Haunted Philadelphia. Along the tour, guests will hear the spellbinding stories and terrifying tales of the supernatural,” stated Jonathan Bari, founder of The Constitutional Walking Tour and the Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour. “It’s one thing to see Philadelphia historic sites by day, but it’s a different experience to see them by night and learn about their haunted side when we show you more than 15 of Philly’s Frights & Sights.”
From now through October 31, 2007, the Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour will offer tours every night at 7:30 PM, departing from inside the Lobby of the Omni Hotel at 401 Chestnut Street. In addition, on certain dates tours will also be offered at 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Tickets cost $17.50 for adults and $12.50 for children (yes, you may be stuck with a group o’ screaming brats on your tour). Advance reservations are recommended.
