As part of the reward program, the cardholder earns 1 point for each dollar spent on all purchases. Also, a bonus of 5,000 points is given after the first purchase. The points never expire and there isn’t a limit towards how many points you can earn. You can redeem the points for discounts on purchases at airlines, hotels, car rentals, cruise lines, travel agencies, tour operators, and on-line travel sites. Points can be redeemed in 7,500 increments (equal to $100).
The card has no annual fee and 0% intro APR for first 12 months. The APR for purchases is variable (8.99%, 10.99%, 12.99% or14.99%) thereafter, based on your credit history. The Balance Transfer APR is 7.99% fixed for the life of the balance but only if transfer is made during the first 6 months.
The card also comes with American Express credit cards benefits such as travel insurance, auto rental insurance and special discounts at participant retailers.
If you have very good credit and plan to benefit from the discounts available as part of the rewards program then the Platinum Business FreedomPass(SM) Credit Card is the card for you. Just make sure to review the list of participant retailers as it is quite restrictive.
