United Airlines Preferred Status Trial

United Airlines is offering Dividend Miles members the opportunity to purchase a trial membership of it’s Preferred Program. For 90 days, the member can revel in the benefits of preferred status, including priority check-in and boarding, unlimited upgrades and more. Yes, they want you to fork out the dough to get this deal.

Regular members can upgrade for the following: Silver - $200; Gold - $400; Platinum - $600
Silver members can upgrade for the following: Gold - $200; Platinum - $400
And Gold members can upgrade for the following: Platinum - $200

After purchasing the upgrade, you can keep your elite status until February 28, 2009 by flying a certain number of miles or segments during your trial period.

* Silver: Fly 7,500 miles or 10 segments
* Gold: Fly 15,000 miles or 20 segments
* Platinum: Fly 22,500 miles or 30 segments
