Air China and Continental Airlines E-Ticketing

Air China started providing interline e-ticketing with Continental Airlines at the end of August. This new service offers both Continental and Air China passengers the convenience of a single paperless, electronic ticket for air journeys served jointly by the two carriers. Continental joins a list of more than twenty other airlines Air China already cooperates with to offer interline e-ticketing service.

Air China is also working on implementing interline e-ticketing with the twenty airlines of Star Alliance before Air China becomes a full member of the alliance later this year. At present Air China has e-ticketing with sixteen Star Alliance members and will complete the implementation with the remaining members by the end of December.

“Interline e-ticketing is a great convenience to our international passengers,” said Mrs. Zhang Lan, Vice President for Air China, “and we are pleased to offer this useful service. Many passengers across our global network need to change airlines to reach their final destination, and the ease of a single interline e-ticket makes flying Air China that much more appealing and care-free.”

Currently, Air China offers e-ticketing with the following: United Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Air Canada, British Airways, Lufthansa Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, THAI, Singapore Airlines, Qantas Airways, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand, Silk Air, Korean Airlines, Adria Airways, ANA, Austrian Airlines, China Airlines, Asiana Airlines, bmi, Spanair, Blue One, LOT Polish Airlines, Wideroe’s Flyveselskap, Eva Air, and Croatia Airlines.

E-anything seems to be kind of a pain in China, so this is great news!
