Amtrak Triple Play Promotion

Amtrak is now offering Guest Rewards customers a way to earn heaps of bonus points through the end of this year. Between now and December 31, 2008, you can earn 500 bonus points just for using one of Amtrak’s hotel, cruise or home loan partners. As if you needed another good reason to take an end of the year cruise! Shoppers out there will be happy to hear you can earn 200 bonus points for shopping with one of the rail line’s partners. Finally, you can earn 300 bonus points for using any of Amtrak’s car rental/share partners or moving services. Surely if you’re in the business travel game, you’re going to rent a car at some point in the next three months.

So what makes it the Triple Play promotion? If you use one partner in Amtrak’s partners in each category, including drive, sleep and shop, you will receive an additional 1,000 bonus points. If you do the math, that’s up to 2,000 bonus points during this promotion.

  • SLEEP: Earn 500 bonus points with your first partner transaction with a hotel stay, cruise or home loan. Plus, through October 31, 2008 take advantage of additional bonus point offers from Choice Hotels, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Rewards and Cruise Locators. Partners include: Choice Hotels, The Hilton Family of Hotels, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Rewards, Cruise Locators and E-LOAN.
  • SHOP: Earn 200 bonus points with your first partner transaction when you shop our online mall or our partners. Watch for additional bonus point offers from select Shop partners in November and December 2008. Partners include: Points for Shopping, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Teleflora, Beverage Bistro, Vinesse Wine Clubs, Shop.Samsonite.com, Buy Points and EnergyPLUS.
  • DRIVE: Earn 300 bonus points with your first partner transaction when you rent or share a car or hire moving services. Partners include: Hertz, Budget, Zipcar, Points for Moving.
