Business Class on Cathay Pacific

biz_cathayAll it takes is a quick glance at what First Class on Cathay Pacific is like to start thinking that Business Class on Cathay Pacific has got to be pretty swanky, too. And you’re right – it is. It may not be quite as luxurious as First Class, but for most people it’s plush enough – and if the choice is between Business Class and coach, I think I know which you’d choose.

Cathay Pacific has upgraded its Business Class cabins, so it’s possible you may still encounter some of the older style cabins on some planes. Rest assured those are still quite nice and spacious, although the newer designs and services are obviously preferable.

Seat & Bed

  • Each seat offers aisle access
  • Seats recline to a fully flat bed (horizontal with the floor) that is 6.5 feet long
  • New seat belts have 3-point design for take-off and landing, can be converted to normal lap-belt during flight
  • Partitions between each seat provide privacy

Food & Beverages

  • Planes have rice cookers, toasters, and skillets on board, allowing for better food cooked to order
  • Can eat at regular meal times or dine “a la carte” whenever you like during the flight
  • Selection of wines chosen in part because of what an airplane’s climate controls do to wine (they pick wines that handle a plane’s climate well)

  • Every seat equipped with a personal video screen and an on-demand library of movies, TV shows, radio stations, interactive games, and CDs
  • Entertainment options in several languages on every flight
  • Laptop power ports available at each seat (you may need a special power adapter)

Other Amenities

  • Complimentary amenity kits with products by Agnes b, Murad, and Dermalogica
  • Noise cancelling headsets for each passenger
  • Water bottle holder at each seat, so you don’t have to have your tray table down at all times
