Expedia and Citigroup Let You Earn ThankYou Network Points for Travel

RewardsExpedia and Citigroup announced today a partnership that will allow members to earn points on Expedia and redeem travel points through the ThankYou Network with Expedia.

According to BusinessWire:

Founded by Citigroup, the 10 million-member ThankYou Network is a free rewards program that lets members get points for doing what they already do — from using eligible Citi credit cards, banking at Citibank with an eligible checking account, and now, booking eligible travel on Expedia.com – and combine these points all in one ThankYou Member Account. ThankYou Network takes rewards programs to the next level by allowing members to pool points from multiple activities so they earn points and redeem for rewards faster.

ThankYou points are earned IN ADDITION TO any airline miles or hotel points the customer may receive through the providers. Points are earned on any Citibank credit or debit card and by booking through Expedia.com. Earn one point per dollar spent on Expedia for hotels, cruises, cruise packages or activities and services totaling at least $50. You do not earn points for stand-alone rental car, rental car added on as a post-purchase item, activities and services totaling less than $50, stand-alone flight or flight and car package. In other words, this will work but you’re still way better off with your airline program and its corresponding rewards card or possibly with Travelocity.
