Expedia.com NFL Packages

NFLExpedia.com, the online travel booking service, has partnered with the National Football League making Expedia the Official Travel Sponsor of the NFL. What does that mean to you, the business traveler? Lots.

With this agreement, Expedia will now offer travel planning and booking resources for NFL games around the country. If you like a little football action with your business trip, this is the way to book. I’m more of a baseball girl, but a Monday night football game is a MUCH more entertaining way to spend an evening in a strange city than, say, sitting in the hotel bar AGAIN. AND I’m sure your clients would MUCH rather be dragged to a game than to some lame dinner at some lame restaurant.

Expedia will offer travel deals and NFL based destination information, as well as the opportunity to purchase vacation packages (including tickets) to league events such as the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl. WooHoo! You can find the new NFL deals and information at https://www.expedia.com/nfl.

To celebrate this beautiful new relationship, Expedia is kicking off “NFL Mondays.” This little deal will reward travelers with up to $100 redeemable for merchandise on NFLShop.com when they book a hotel or vacation package in any NFL city. You can get the dollars every Monday from now until Dec 3, 2007, so you better act fast. Get a jersey to wear to the game…or maybe a big foam finger.

In December, Expedia will host an NFL sweepstakes that will give one fan the chance to win a grand prize travel package to Super Bowl XLII in Arizona and the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Wow. Super Bowl tickets in a warm city! Twenty other lucky winners will receive a trip to either the Super Bowl or the Pro Bowl and 11 additional daily winners will receive a gift certificate for merchandise on NFLShop.com. Sounds like a good reason to use Expedia.

“This partnership brings together two of America’s favorite passions, the NFL and travel,” said Peter Murray, the NFL’s senior vice president of partnership marketing and sales. “We are looking forward to working with Expedia to provide our fans with even more ways to enjoy the NFL.”

Happy travels and have fun at the game!
