Free Blackberry from BookIT.com

I have never had the pleasure of using BookIt.com for my travels, but they’re offering a deal that sounds fabulous for those of you who make your own travel arrangements. According to the press release, BookIT.com is currently offering a free* BlackBerry or equivalent smartphone or music phone (valued at up to $349). How do you get in on the action? Book anything through BookIT.com, including a flight, hotel stay, travel package or even a car rental.

“Guests who book online with BookIt.com – whether they arrange their full vacation or simply rent a car for a day – are eligible to receive a free phone of their choice,” said Jesse Henson, VP of Marketing. “We are constantly looking for ways to promote travel, especially in the current economic climate. This is an exciting offer that sets BookIt.com apart from other travel providers. Most importantly, we hope to elate our guests with a truly incredible value and increase loyalty to the BookIt.com brand with this limited time promotion.”

Sound too good to be true? Just about. In order to get the phone, you have to sign a new 2 year service agreement. Qualified upgrade or renewal options may be available. Contracts are available through the top four airtime providers. So, basically you book your travel and get maybe a little bit better upgrade phone than you would through your cellular provider.

This offer is a limited time promotion and BookIt.com guests will find details for ordering on the web site when after booking by clicking on the free phone offer.

The fine print: Get a free mobile phone when you activate a new line of mobile phone service (May not be valid for upgrades) on the selected rate plan and enter into a new 2-year subscriber agreement. (Renewal and upgrade options may be available.) To receive the mobile phone, you will be required to: enter into a 2-year subscriber agreement, pay a $36 activation fee and a $39.99 minimum monthly voice plan for each month of the 2-year agreement period. Some devices may require a data plan, at an additional cost, which may vary by airtime provider. If you cancel your service contract prior to the end of the 2-year agreement, up to a $200 early termination fee will apply. Void where restricted or prohibited by law. Offer expires 04/30/10 or while supplies last. Not valid with any other offer. Restrictions may apply, valid credit card required. Service may not be available in all markets or on all carriers. Offer subject to subscriber agreement and credit approval. Offer subject to change and only valid in the U.S.A. Orders fulfilled by Simplexity Inc., an authorized agent for the airtime providers. See order page for complete details.

It’s up to you. If you’re traveling soon, you’d like a new blackberry, your current plan is up and the price is right (wow, that’s a lot of ifs), then you might want to check out this deal.
