Guess what today is? Opening day at Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado.

SnowboardIn Denver for business?

You can get in on some great snowboard or skiing action at Copper Mountain, just a smidge over an hour from downtown Denver. With all of the snow that was dumped on the area last week, it should be AWESOME!!

Copper Mountain is kind of a locals rule, die you tourist scum kind of place, but once you get over that I’m sure you’ll have a swell time. How do I know that? Because I went there undercover.

My friend Beth lives just Denver side of Littleton so I went with her and kept my trap shut while some snow girl complained about Aspen and Vail, traditional touristy ski resorts. It’s a super cool place, despite the ski nazi.

Lift tickets will set you back between $51 and $79 dollars for a one-day pass or $45 to $62 for a half day, depending on when you make the trip.

For some great eats after you leave the slopes, stop by Beau Jo’s in Idaho Springs for some yummy pizza on your way back to town.
