The Hoboken International Film Festival will kick of on June 1 of this year. What does it include?       Mr. Barclay discusses his exciting journey to winning the Academy Award for his documentary, “Norman Rockwell’s World…An American Dream.” His own American dream dream met, this documentary icon will tell the audience how he found Norman Rockwell’s phone number in the phone book and soon was casting actors for recreated sequences. Mr. Barclay will display his actual Oscar and show the clip of his Academy Award acceptance speech.

    • WANT TO BE A DAYTIME TV STAR: Presented by Sonia Satra, Star from CBS’s Guiding Light. When: June 3, 2007 @ 2:00 p.m. Where: The Babbio Center, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.

      Join Ms. Satra, (Guiding Lights’s Lucy Cooper”), as she discusses how she went from from being an undergrad at Rutgers University to becoming one of daytime television’s hottest actresses. Find out about the auditions, the daily preparation, the interactions with the directors, producers and other stars…and the actual art of the acting .

    • SPEAK AND ACT FOR SUCCESS: Presented by Joycelyn Engle, Hollywood Talent Manager. When: June 4, 2007 @ 5:00 p.m.
      Where: The Babbio Center, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.

      Ms. Engle, manager of Hollywood stars such as Tara Reid, advises that “the ultimate goal of a good manager is to make a star and maintain the star’s career.” She will tell you what managers look for in their clients, and her formula for taking promising actors and turning them into successful actors.     • DELIVERY OF A MOVIE FOR DISTRIBUTION: Presented by Gloria Morrison, Echelon Studios President of Acquisitions. When: June 5, 2007 @ 5:00 p.m. Where: The Babbio Center, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.

      Ms. Morrison knows what she is looking for in a movie. She should, as she is the president of a movie studio that distributes thousands of films to over 100 countries worldwide.       One of MTV’s top casting directors for the past 10 years, Mr. Petolino also routinely casts shows for Spike TV, Comedy Central, E!, VH1 and a several other networks . The founder of Gotham Casting, he casts actors for these networks and independent filmmakers. Mr. petolino will share with you how to get cast in reality shows, scripted TV programs, special events and in independent films.

    • THE HOBOKEN FILMMAKER SERIES: Presented by a Selection of Hoboken Filmmakers. When: June 4, 2007 @ 8:00 p.m. Where: The Babbio Center, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ

      Meet many of the rising stars of filmmaking–from Hoboken. The directors, writers, producers and actors will discuss their varied journeys in making their movies. The ups, the downs–how they got selected for the Hoboken International Film Festival…and where they will go from here and more…
