Indiana Jones Trip Giveaway

If you’re a business traveler, you fall in to one of two categories: those who love to travel and have pursued a career that allows them to do so or those who have a job that forces them to travel despite their dislike of adventure. If you fall in to the first category, you’ll certainly be interested in this contest I just found. If you, however, are one of the other sort, maybe you can pass this along to someone who would be interested.

An organization called the Friends of World Heritage, which is dedicated to funding and preserving our World Heritage sites found around the globe, is working with the forces behind Indiana Jones™ to offer you a once in a lifetime trip. The winner will follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones. This adventure is being offered in coordination with the release of new Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I’ve had the opportunity to visit several World Heritage sites, and I believe we should make a huge effort to preserve them.

Friends of World Heritage–a grassroots initiative dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the protection of UNESCO World Heritage sites–is calling on individuals to test their World Heritage and Indiana Jones knowledge through its interactive and educational Adventure Quiz.

Entering the contest is super easy. First, you take the above mentioned quiz. After taking the quiz, you’ll be entered to win a trip for two on an exclusive Indiana Jones Travel Experience by Expedia. The contest closes on July 18, 2008.

“For nearly three decades, we have been virtually transported with Indiana Jones from our living rooms to many iconic World Heritage sites around the world, Petra, the Taj Mahal and the City of Venice, are just a few,” said Katherine Miller, executive director of communications and public affairs, United Nations Foundation. “Through this online campaign and travel contest, we hope to educate and inspire travelers towards preserving and protecting these treasured site for future generations to experience and enjoy.”

The contest winner will receive a trip for 2 from one 10 travel options. They all sound amazing, so I don’t know how you would choose.

The packages include round trip air transportation for two from a major airport near winner’s home (determined by Expedia). If you don’t live in the U.S. or near one of the departure cities noted, you will be responsible for getting to a departure city. Itineraries of trips cannot be changed. Winners must claim their prizes and travel in the year they are awarded.
