London is a lovely city to visit, despite the crappy weather. Business travelers to London can expect to find excellent service and a fast paced city. It is definitely not a budget destination, so be happy if your employer is footing the bill.
Getting There & Around
London is serviced by several airports, including the must disparaged Heathrow, Gatwick, and the smaller Stansted, all of which can be easily reached by public transportation.
The tube (that’s English for the subway) connects various parts of the city. Cabs are a little hard to come by by any standards other than those of New York.

London has it’s fair share of tourist attractions, but the prices are steep. You can visit the historic sites of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and the Tate Musuem easily in a day. There are monuments, museums and galleries sprinkled throughout the city. Lovers of spicy food will be sorely disappointed in the cuisine, even the popular Indian and Thai dishes are seriously toned down. People may talk smack about the food in England, but in London you can find pretty much any sort of victuals you want. The theater is a great way to spend an evening, whether alone or with friends.
