Marriott Rewards Luggage Shipping

Marriott is making its Marriott Rewards program a little more valuable these days, by allowing members to use Rewards points to ship luggage. Luggage shipping has become more and more popular in recent times with increased baggage mishandling and restrictions. Now that the major U.S. airlines are charging fees for the second and often even the first checked bag, it makes more sense than ever to ship your luggage ahead of time. Marriott has teamed with The Luggage Club to allow Rewards members to redeem points for gift cards to ship luggage door to door.

Using The Luggage Club, your bags can be picked up at your home, office or any other location you choose and delivered directly to your final travel destination. When your travels are over, your gear will be returned. The Luggage Club has no limits on size, weight or number of pieces that can be shipped.

“We want to make travel as easy as possible for our members,” said Ed French, senior vice president, Marriott Rewards. “This is a service that we think will be extremely valuable to our members who spend many of their days navigating airports.”

Here’s how it works: You can earn 10 Rewards points per dollar on Luggage Club services and redeem your points for gift cards in increments of $50, $100, $250 and $500. For more information, check out MarriottRewards.com.

The Small Print: Marriott Rewards members must register with The Luggage Club at TheLuggageClub.com to receive your gift card by email. When registering with The Luggage Club, include your Marriott Rewards account number to earn points for purchases. Once you receive your TLC gift card, contact The Luggage Club for reservations. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of order. Members will earn 10 Marriott Rewards points per dollar on TLC credit card purchases, but will not earn points for services paid for with a TLC gift card.
