Napa Valley Jazz & Blues Festival in Calistoga

Napa ValleyNapa Valley will again play host to the annual Jazz & Blues Festival in Calistoga from November 2 to 4. Sounds will include Bay Area musicians like Herb Gibson, Larry Vuckovich and Alvon Johnson. I don’t know who any of those people are, but they sound jazzy.

Day one tickets are $15 and include a commemorative wine glass and four drink tickets. $15 is a steal for four drinks in my book! Festival goes will have the opportunity to listen, shop and enjoy local wines from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that Saturday. Additional drink tickets may be purchased for $2 each, which isn’t too shabby. If you’re on a budget, this is your day to visity.

Sunday will bring on winemaker dinners hosted at local restaurants including Brannan’s Grill, All Seasons Bistro, Boskos Trattoria, The Calistoga Inn, Flatiron Grill and Wappo Bar & Bistro. The menus will show off fresh, local foods paired with the featured local wines. Featured vineyards will include Bennett Lane, Clos du Val, Sterling Vineyards, Saviez Vineyards and others. The dinners begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday and include a three course meal paired with wines from at least three local wineries. Prices for the dinners vary by restaurant in the range of $50- $125 per person. Still not a bad price for what you get!
