Northwest Airlines WorldPerks – 20 Miles Per Dollar Until November 30, 2006!!

MargaritasFrom now until November 30, 2006, Tier 1 members of Northwest Airlines Dining for Miles program can earn a whopping 20 WorldPerks miles per dollar spent. That’s double the previous bonus rate of 10 miles per dollar, which is available through the end of this year. Whether you’re on the road for business travel or fun, you can earn HUGE rewards by eating at the right location.

Think about it: $10 for lunch and $25 for dinner (pretty reasonable) = 700 miles.

That’s more than most direct flights within the U.S. So if you’re out for 15 days in the next month (or if you tend to have monstrous bar tabs like I do), that can add up to half of the miles needed for a free flight.

In some places your dining options are limited, but there are loads of options in larger metro areas. Dining for Miles is how I’ve found some of my favorite restaurants on the road, including the Greek Village Tavern in Schaumburg and Madison’s in Jackson, Tennessee.

In order to participate in this promotion, you have to pre-register. You should have received an e-mail if you’re a participating member (I did). If not, registration is super easy for WorldPerks members through the WorldPerks site.

I’m thinking margaritas and giant cheese sticks at Shorty Small’s tonight!
