Orbitz recently launched a new desktop application called Orbitz Insider Deals. Insider Deals is a downloadable program enabling customers to access special offer “insider” deals, customized travel tools, and up-to-the-minute travel information. This program gives you instant access to the company’s services, such as:

Deals – Orbitz Insider Deals delivers on its name, giving users access to special offers available via the application. Orbitz.com “Insiders” are also given notice and easy access to the best sales on Orbitz.com.

Personalized Deal Tracker – To our knowledge, Orbitz is the only major online travel agency to track the cost of customized fight + hotel packages. Orbitz gives ”Insiders” the ability to track up to three itineraries for flight and flight + hotel deals based on their specific criteria. Travelers input their travel dates, origin and destination, and budget parameters and when Orbitz finds a trip that matches their needs, users immediately receive a notice on their desktop. This convenient tool gives travelers the freedom to go about their day while Orbitz searches for their perfect trip.

OrbitzTLC – Orbitz Insider Deals also gives travelers easy access to all the great OrbitzTLC services and information, such as the ability to sign up for OrbitzTLC Alerts and Orbitz travel podcasts, access up-to-date travel-related weather information, check flight status, and personalize an individual’s local weather forecast.

Orbitz Games – Fans of OrbitzGames.com can now access all of their favorite Orbitz games right from their own desktop! “Insiders” test their skills on the “new” games that will be highlighted on the application as they are released, or revisit and some of their favorites when they need to take five during their day.

To get the tool, download Insider Deals. Then, go to the “Home” tab to customize your profile and check out special offers. Under the “Deals” tab, you can customize up to three packages for the Deal Tracker. If your deal is found, you will receive a message directly on your desktop. To sign up for airfare alerts, use OrbitzTLC Mobile Access, check flight status or receive weather information, go to the “OrbitzTLC” tab.
