* Review: Here is why you should go to Cornerstone – it is the closest bar to the new Dickey-Stephens Park, where the Arkansas Travelers play. There is no full bar at the ballpark, so a stop in at Cornerstone for a sandwich and happy hour drinks is a good pre-game idea. Beer specials start at $1.50 for domestic draft. Well drinks are about $3.00 a pop. I have never actually eaten at Cornerstone, but you can expect the regular bar fare you’ll find at any other place. Probably beats ballpark food anyway. Cornerstone is one of the few remaining smoking establishments in the State of Arkansas. That means you have to be 21 to enter. If that bothers you, there is another bar next door that went the all-ages non-smoking route.

If you’re looking for post-game entertainment or you’re staying in downtown Little Rock or North Little Rock, Cornerstone often has live music. It’s a nice little venue if you can find a place to sit.

My favorite part – the Christmas Tree (which is up now) featuring baseball decorations. Awesome!
