* Review: Milestones is a chain in the Vancouver area, that is much like an upper scale standard food chain you can find anyplace else. The staff wears all black and the food is overpriced for what you get, but the atmosphere is nice. On a recent trip to Vancouver, my co-workers and I happened upon the place after being told by several people that Yaletown was the place to be. The weather was fantastic and we were happily seated at the patio.

I had the Roasted Chicken Penne Asiago and was, frankly, a little disappointed. The Asiago cream sauce was a little bland and the spinach was difficult to find. It wasn’t bad at all, but for $16 for a plate of pasta, I want something a little better. I had serious food envy for my co-worker who ordered the Seafood Fettuccine, which came in a spicy Cajun sauce. I think the food in that whole region is just a little bland for me.

The best part of the experience? The beer. Milestones features pints of locally brewed beers and the lager was a big hit with me, even at the price of $7 for a pint.
